This document defines the nature of the Dietio tool and the limits of its use. It forms an integral part of the Terms of Use for the Dietio Service and is interpreted together with them. By using Dietio, you acknowledge the following.
1. Dietio is an auxiliary calculator
1.1 Dietio is an informational and auxiliary tool that calculates travel allowances (meal allowances/per diems, pocket money and deductions for provided meals) for domestic and foreign business trips under Act No. 283/2002 Coll. on travel allowances, as amended, and the relevant measures and decrees of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic.
1.2 The results and outputs of Dietio (the PDF travel order, CSV) are a supporting basis, not a binding official, payroll or accounting document.
2. Dietio is not professional advice
2.1 Dietio and its outputs do not constitute legal, tax, accounting or payroll advice and do not replace consultation with a qualified professional.
2.2 Dietio does not assess the user's specific situation, the employer's internal rules, or special arrangements that may affect the amount and conditions of allowances.
3. Rates, decrees and exchange rates change
3.1 Meal allowance amounts, foreign rates, deduction percentages, pocket money and currency exchange rates change (in particular through measures and decrees of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family). We make efforts to keep the rates in Dietio up to date, but we do not guarantee that at any given moment they correspond to the currently applicable state or to your specific trip.
3.2 Before using a result, we recommend verifying that the rates used are current (the Rates section) and that they apply to your situation.
4. The result depends on the correctness of the inputs
4.1 The calculation is deterministic — the same inputs produce the same result. However, its correctness depends directly on the correctness and completeness of the data you enter (countries and route, dates and times, border crossings, provided meals, exchange rates, pocket money percentage, etc.). Incorrect or incomplete input leads to an incorrect result.
4.2 As the calculation runs in your browser and we do not store the data, we have no ability to check or correct it. Checking the inputs and the result is solely your responsibility.
5. User responsibility
5.1 The user (or the employer or the person preparing the settlement) is fully responsible for:
- the correctness and completeness of the trip data entered,
- verifying that the rates and decrees are current and correctly applied,
- the compliance of the resulting settlement with Act No. 283/2002 Coll. and with internal rules,
- the final approval, payment of the allowance and its correct payroll, tax and contribution treatment.
5.2 Before use, the generated travel order and export should be checked and, where necessary, verified by a qualified professional (e.g. payroll staff or an accountant).
6. No warranties and limitation of liability
6.1 Dietio is provided free of charge and "as is", without any warranty of freedom from errors, correctness of the result, or uninterrupted availability.
6.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for any damage arising from the use of or inability to use Dietio, in particular for incorrectly paid allowances, penalties, arrears, overpayments or other consequences. The limitations do not apply to the extent that the law does not permit them to be excluded or limited (in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and in relation to consumers to the extent of their statutory rights).
